I have always loved Wall Decals. Its so personal and unique; really shows your house off as yours.

The one in the picture on the left I put in the House where Master J was born, in his nursery. When we moved house, I bought another one and put it in the boys room that they shared

Then I bought the one on the right to go on our kitchen wall next to our family canvas photo.

THEN I bought the one in the middle for our bedroom above our bed.

Addicted much??

THEN we moved house again and Mr Point Five wouldn’t let me buy any more to stick on the wall as we are in another GROH house and wont be here very long before we move again; its a bit of a waste of money when you move house so often like we do and have to keep pulling them down and rebuying them.

So then I had the bright idea of buying the wall lettering and sticking it on canvas so we could take it from house to house when we moved.

AWESOME IDEA!

So the next phrase I wanted to do was “Always Kiss your COP Goodbye” I had seen it on a hanging sign but thought it might look good on canvas too and I wanted it for by our front door.

As coincidence or sheer luck might have it, I received an email from the team at Wise Decor Wall Decals who were offering me a Decal of my choice as well as a $50 voucher to give away to one of my readers!

Squeee!!!

I emailed back the quote that I liked and they directed me to their webpage where I could plug it in and choose my font, size of the lettering and actual frame, then muck around with the layout and see what it would look like on my wall. It’s really easy to navigate and you get a really good idea as to what your decal will look like.

I bought a white canvas, some other bits and pieces for inspiration and when it arrived I put it all together.

The lettering arrives all laid out perfectly with little tab marks to show you where to line it all up. All you do it pull the backing off, position the paper on the wall, press the lettering down and peel off the lining. It’s too easy, no messing about with fiddly individual lettering.  At least this has been my experience with past wall decals I have done before. I won’t lie, getting the lettering to stick to the canvas was tricky. Maybe this was because I had given the canvas a light paint with red glitter paint first, but for some reason it preferred to stick to its backing rather than my canvas. After a lot of swearing and gesticulations I finally got the lettering onto my canvas. You can’t really make out the red glitter background but I think it looks really nice.

This now hangs at our front door and I am pleased as punch with it!!

AND we can take it with us from house to house – yay!!
