Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove – Giveaway
When I saw that all the boys favourite Disney Characters were being brought to life, and on ICE no less, I immediately hopped online to check out times and ticket prices. Whilst umming and ahhing with Mr Point Five and weighing up a three hour drive there and a three hour drive back I happened to check my email.
Totally random timing, the lovely people at Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove had offered me complimentary Tickets for my Family. Seriously – how lucky are our boys?? And how totally kismet is that?
After tripping over myself in my haste to reply (so glad there wasn’t a “screaming for joy” font I could have used, cos I totally would have in that moment), I also managed to wrangle a Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove Merchandise Pack, valued at $50 to give away to a lucky reader 🙂 So glad they were on board with the giveaway bit as it would have killed me to say “No” to the tickets as per my review agreement with myself and my honour. We have booked a room at a hotel opposite the Perth Arena and its a full tank of fuel to get up to the big smoke and back for the night so it will still be a hexy trip, but totally worth it.
Squeeeee!!!!!

To create this enchanting voyage on ice and as a first for the company, producers, sisters Nicole Feld and Juliette Feld, led a creative team of industry experts, consisting of Director Patty Vincent, Choreographer Cindy Stuart, Production Designer James Youmans and Costume Designer Dawna Oak.
Bringing such a wide variety of Disney animated features to life presented an interesting set of challenges for the show’s creative team. “We went through our entire portfolio of Disney On Ice shows, trying to bring something very different to audiences,” Producer Nicole Feld comments. “We wanted to pick action-packed stories that really resonated not only with kids today, but with their parents as well,” she says.
To keep up with the fast pace of transitioning through so many of Disney’s treasured tales, Production Designer James Youmans had to create a versatile set, that could be quickly modified and transformed for different scenes. “The set consists of several pieces that detach from one another, and in being able to rotate the set, we can convert Captain Hook’s pirate ship into an enchanted castle,” says James.
As for the show’s, choreographer, Feld chose Cindy Stuart, as she has a wealth of experience after several years working across multiple Disney On Ice productions, as well her various collaborations with Olympic Gold Medalist Robin Cousins.
“With the variety of stories in this show it gave us the potential to create a different style of movement for each”, shared Cindy. “We have the card guards that have a very military- inspired routine, Peter Pan and all the pirates have big energy and swashbuckling movement, whereas the Disney Princesses bring an elegance and softness to the choreography”, says Cindy.

I love Eeyore. I’ve always had a natural affinity with him, and recently saw this quote, which so perfectly sums up what is so great about him, and his subtle message to little ones to accept people (or donkeys!) just as they are 🙂 xx
Jane @ The Hesitant Housewife recently posted…Autism. Where I Stand.
Woody from Toy Story. He’s loyal, protective, the best friend you could want. I bawled when Andy left Woody and his mates with little Bonnie!
Mulan as she was the first disney princess that didn’t need rescuing but did the rescuing herself plus she had her own dragon
Sleeping Beauty ! She gets to sleep, uninterrupted !!!!!! Seriously !! 😉
Mushuu from Mulan! Everyone needs a sarcastic, funny, speak-before-they-think buddy!! He has spunk and is just so loveable.
Repunzel from tangled. She’s brave, she’s sassy, and not afraid to reach for the stars
Mickey Mouse will always be the classic character that everyone loves, but I think I like Sebastian from the Little Mermaid with his Caribbean accent the most.
Snow White will always have a place in my heart; Sweet, gentle and kind to the animals and dwarves.
Its a tough call but pumbaa would be my all time fav..there was just something about him.
I’m going the obscure Figaro, cause who doesn’t love a kitty cat.
Chip from beauty and the beast – he is perfectly imperfect, exactly how i consider myself
Tow Mater from cars. He’s rough around the edges but has a heart (or engine) of gold!
How can I choose a favourite when I love them all so much, Disney has bought so much to ours & our children’s imaginations. I would have to say that I do have a special admiration for Wendy Darling from Peter Pan.
Belle is the one I adore
A book-lover, with beauty galore
And what’s more, you’ll discover
She doesn’t judge a book by it’s cover!
Congratulations Michelle – you have won the Disney on Ice Merchandise Pack. If you could please email me your addy I will have the lovely People at Disney send it to you.
